Empirical research
All projects are conducted by teams of researchers, practitioners, and companies in the building industry.
The knowledge accumulated at the Center does not offer final answers or ready-made solutions to how the industry should behave compared to their present practice. Neither does research-based knowledge replace or render superfluous experience-based knowledge in the industry. The research is intended to give inspiration to the actors in the industry to interpret their experiences in new ways and to look for new action possibilities. As a result they may be better equipped for managing the many challenges and difficulties they are facing.
The knowledge of the Center should be perceived as oxygen to an industry in which the problematic practice of which so far has been characterized in relation to an ideal image, which has only contributed to prolong and strengthen the problems.
