Workshop: A review of Last Planner System implementation
Redaktion
We are planning a review of the Last Planner System (LPS) to be held in Copenhagen 10-11 November 2011.
This meeting is for people with extensive experience of Last Planner application.
People in Europe have been using LPS for at least 12 years. Both the theory and the practice of LPS have advanced in that time.
The purpose of this review is to enable practitioners and scholars from across Europe (and a few from beyond) to come together to share insights, observations and practices in an open environment so that we can all return to work with a richer view of what we can achieve with Last Planner in our companies and what further research needs doing.
Because we don’t know what developments have and are being made within and associated with the System this meeting will be designed as an exploration. There will be no formal papers.
We will use Open Space Technology [http://www.openspaceworld.org] to allow a community of up to 45 to meet in a number of small groups organised around particular topics defined by participants in the meeting. With regular report outs to the whole community we hope to build up a rich picture of the different approaches to and learning from Last Planner practice over the last dozen or more years – ideas that will help practitioners get more out of Last Planner in their organisations and help scholars contribute to the further development of the theory and practice.
As preparation for the meeting we will ask you to complete a brief questionnaire and will make the collated results available as a starter for the discussions.
If you want to let us know now, these are the questions [there is also a discussion at http://linkd.in/lastplanner]:
- What is distinctive/new about your implementation of Last Planner?
- How has your implementation of Last Planner changed since you first introduced it?
- What topics would you like to discuss in the meeting?
The meeting will be hosted by COWI A/S and we will make a charge to participants of €300 Dkr2,250 to cover some of the costs. COWI will cover others. Accommodation and travel are for your own account. The working language will be English.
If you would like an invitation to this workshop please let us know at invite@Last-Planner.eu
If you would like to start discussing the above questions please do so in this forum.
With best wishes
